  • Reminder, you have to start with pack #1.

    Reminder: Load Pack #1 tests 5 different powder charges all with the same Projectile and C.O.A.L. This is the first step to finding the perfect load for your rifle. 

    Reminder: Load Pack #2 tests 5 different C.O.A.L. with the same Projectile and Powder Charge that shot well in the first pack. 

    Reminder: Load Pack #3 tests 5 different powder charges, with finer distribution than pack #1 all with the same Projectile and C.O.A.L.

    If you measured your rifle's chamber please provide us with the COAL measurement here.

    This measurement will ensure the ammunition we provide for your second load pack will fit in your rifle's chamber. Further, You may also wish to measure your rifle's magazine as that may be the determining factor of your maximum COAL.

    We need the Base to Tip Measurement NOT THE OGIVE.

Copper Creek Load Development Packs are the easiest way to find the best “recipe” for your rifle.
Stage one packs are the starting point to finding the optimal charge weight for your rifle. Remember, you are developing a load to make the projectile of your choice shoot well in your rifle.

Simply choose what projectile you’d like to shoot, and we will send you 25 rounds of incrementally charged loads. 5 rounds each of 5 different powder charges, all with the same projectile. If you would like to develop loads for multiple projectiles, you will need to purchase multiple load packs. All our ammunition is loaded with powders best suited for the caliber and projectile weight.
Stage two packs will include 25 incrementally seated bullet to different depths for the load that worked best in stage one.

Stage two packs will include 25 incrementally seated bullet to different depths for the load that worked best in Stage 1. Shoot these rounds in 5 shot groups and be amazed at just how small your groups can get! It’s helpful to know the length of your rifles chamber, the easiest way to do this is with a Hornady O.A.L. Gauge; when giving us this information please give us the overall measurement. Please contact us for more details.

Please be sure to check your rifle internal or detachable magazine length, to ensure the ammo you choose will fit in the magazine!!
Stage three packs will include 25 finely charged rounds all with the same seating depth that worked best in stage two.

Stage two and three are optional, you can get great results with stage one and get your final load from there.
For each pack you will head out to your favorite shooting range with your new ammunition and shoot 5, 5 shot groups at your desired distance, between 100 and 400 yards is great! If you’d like to do more in depth testing, double up a load pack and you can fire 2 five round groups or even 3 three round groups! Whichever group gives the best results is the optimal charge weight for your rifle. From there we can produce ammunition with your new custom load recipe. Once you’ve purchased a minimum of 100 rounds of your newly found load, the load data will be provided to you on request.
